CIDP endeavours to provide patients living with high blood pressure access to novel treatment!🩺

Over a billion people around the world live with hypertension (high blood pressure), which is a primary risk factor for cardiovascular disease, including stroke, heart attack, heart failure, and aneurysm.

Closer to home, hypertension remains a growing health challenge for many African countries, including Mauritius, which has been battling several chronic diseases, including diabetes and heart disease. It is important to emphasize that hypertension is a silent killer. With no clear symptoms, detection can be missed while your heart and organs are being damaged. Hence, the importance of regularly checking your blood pressure.

As we mark World Hypertension Day, a day that focuses on creating awareness on this disease, CIDP pledges to continue playing its role in advancement of research for combating this silent killer!
