CIDP’s project, in collaboration with The University of Mauritius (UOM) has been selected by the prestigious Harvard University to be part of the Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship in Africa Programme. This ambitious project entitled: “Africa’s Green Gold - Translating Indigenous Knowledge into Business Opportunities” lays emphasis on the biodiversity knowledge of Africa and is centered around the development of new ingredients and lead molecules for medicine, the food industry as well as the cosmetic sector. The Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship in Africa Programme is a three-day, problem-focused executive program intended to provide African leaders with the strategic tools to implement innovation strategies. Focus will be placed on themes covered in the Science, Technology, and Innovation Strategy for Africa, 2024, adopted by the African Union in 2014.
