On June 5th 2015, our CIDP R&I Managing Director, Ameenah GURIB-FAKIM, was elevated to the post of President of the Republic of Mauritius, the highest distinction of the country.  This nomination honors her outstanding research career and her incessant struggle to put Mauritius under the spotlight as a country rich in biological biodiversity and with enormous potential for sustainable development from local natural resources.

It’s been a privilege to have such a personality at CIDP since 2009; her legacy will remain and the research she has initiated in our extract laboratory will continue with the same dedication.
